ABOUT AMANTIA

Another representation of this organization is the ensemble of traditional Albanian songs and dances “AMANTIA”. This ensemble is composed of dancers, instrumentalists and polyphonies who all together form a voluntary group with the desire and passion to inherit the values and culture for our national traditions.

Polyphony

The polyphony group consisting of several people who have been performing on stage for years the special polyphonic song which is one of the parts of the Albanian tradition. Mentioning here the polyphony (traditional Albanian song) which is a national cultural heritage protected by UNESCO. Polyphony itself is a way of singing without an orchestra using only the combination of their voices.

Orchestra

Consisting of 4-5 musicians who perform on stage with various musical instruments. Such as: Clarinets, accordion, violin, def, drums and guitar.

Dancers:

The dancers of the ensemble have an experience of over 10 years performing in various Albanian scenes and not only. The dances performed by the dancers of the ensemble "Amantia" are traditional folklore mainly from the south of Albania but not only, a large part of them also includes dances of all Albanian territories.
